St.
David’s Fundraising Effort—Gift Certificates!
We’ve heard that some
parishes and synagogues have found grocery store gift certificates to be
terrific fundraisers. This could be true also at St. David’s with your
help and support.

for every $1000 St. David’s gift

Things to bear in mind:
a) You need to
fully use your gift certificates when purchasing at the grocery store.
Change cannot be issued in excess of .99! If you really make a
mistake—the grocery store should be able to issue you a new gift
certificate for the discrepancy (say you only spend $39 with a $50
certificate) but that will certainly increase your time in the grocery
store and for all in the line behind you!
b) These are much
like cash—they cannot be replaced if you misplace or lose them.
If you have questions,
please call, and many thanks for your support!

Note:
Your purchase will NOT appear on your Giving Statements. However,
contributions in excess of the face value of the certificates
will appear. (3/21/04)
