Fr
Gordon Graham is Henry Luce III Professor of Philosophy and the Arts at
Princeton Theological Seminary and has been an associate priest at St
David’s since September 2009. He was born in Ireland, and studied and
taught in Scotland, where he was ordained Deacon and Priest in the
Scottish Episcopal Church. Since moving to the United States in January
2006 he has been licensed by the Bishop of New Jersey to exercise his
priesthood in the Episcopal Church.
Fr Gordon lives in Princeton with his wife
Alison, and two children – Magnus and Kirsty. He is the author of
several books on a wide variety of subjects in philosophy, ethics,
politics, art and religion, including Evil and Christian Ethics
(Cambridge University Press, 2001) and The Re-enchantment of the World:
Art versus Religion (Oxford University Press, 2007).
At St David’s, Fr Gordon assists the Rector
as a celebrant and preacher. He writes the Bible lectionary notes for
the weekly bulletin, contributes on a regular basis to the Sunday Adult
Forum, and has a special interest in working with children and adults in
the presentation of liturgical drama for special occasions in the
Church’s year.
