Journey to Adulthood
Journey to Adulthood (J2A) is St. David’s Youth Group Program for students in grades 6 to 12. There are two segments to our program:
In addition, Students are given service opportunities. Over the past few years these opportunities have included:
The J2A group also has the opportunity to attend Diocesan Youth Events such as:

- Rite-13: The first three years (Grades 6-8) celebrate the individuality of each young teen and their creative potential, while exploring Biblical stories of God and God's people. The Rite-13 is the community expression of this and serves as a rite of passage from childhood towards adulthood.
- J2A: The next segment (Grades 9-12) helps teens create and understand the importance of Christian Community as they develop critical thinking and other skills they will need in adulthood. Lessons are taken from the J2A publication for both segments.
In addition, Students are given service opportunities. Over the past few years these opportunities have included:
- Volunteering time at the RISE Thrift Store
- Putting together meals for Stop Hunger Now
- Preparing and delivering food for TASK
- Spending a week at Ocean Grove assisting locals Dune planting
The J2A group also has the opportunity to attend Diocesan Youth Events such as:
- Fall Youth Event at Camp Lebanon
- Cathedral Lock-in
- The Bishop’s Ball
- Spring Youth Event at camp Lebanon
